There was alot of issues that were in my book, but at the end they were all resolved. Dooley was clean of all that he was accused of. Winston Rhodes was the one who commited all the crimes and he tried to frame Dooley. I thought the end of the novel had a really good ending, it almost leaves you on a cliffhanger, but at the same time explains everything that had happened. I thought the ending was reasonable because it was believable, it felt like you could put yourself into the shoes of Dooley and nothing would change. The only part I didn't like about the ending was the final chapter when him and Beth are sitting in a coffee shop and he tells her everything that he is feeling towards her and it doesn't give you a response, it's like a page is missing or something.
I really enjoyed the book, I'm not someone who really likes to read but this book was really good, even though I couldn't relate to what Dooley was going through. It is relatable to teenagers lives because the book has plenty of different emotions that Dooley goes through, like everyone has experienced what Dooley does with Beth. Even though the book was really "extreme" at times it was still very good.
Think about the problems that occurred in your novel. Are all the issues and conflicts resolved by the end of the novel? Did you like how the novel ended or did you expect something different? Was the ending realistic and believable? Explain your answer. At the end of your post, write a few sentences about your own overall impression of the novel. Did you like the book? Why or why not? Was it relatable to teenagers' lives?

Dooley is faced with a problem pretty much right at the beginning of the novel when he is questioned for the murder of Mark Everley. Because of Dooley's past he was immidiatly a suspect of the death of Mark. Dooley solves the problem by proving the he was innocent.
Later on in the novel Dooley is put into another situation where he is invited to a party. Dooley has been clean of all alcohol and drugs ever since moving back in with his uncle. Dooley goes to this party because of girl and it turns out to be a bad decision because Dooley gets framed again for murder because Dooley got into a fight there with a boy named Edward Gillette and the next day he turned out dead. Dooley resolved the problem by investigation on his own terms and he later finds the person who really did it. The person who did it also pushed Mark off the bridge!
The person who did it appeared to be Dooley's friends. Do you think Dooley should rat him out or take the blame and be a good friend? What would you do in this scenario

Ryan Dooley is the main character in this novel. He is a 17 year old boy who has gotten himself into trouble in the past, and is now starting to come back to him.
Sometimes Dooley doesn't make the best choices, he decided that it would be a good idea to go against his uncles wishes and go to a party, because of a girl. The party was being held for her brother Mark Everley ( The boy that jumps off the bridge in the beginning of the book). The girls name is Beth, she goes to a private school and Dooley has a huge crush on her, but Beth believes that Dooley had something to do with the death of her brother. At this party that he goes to he starts to drink, he has a couple glasses of champagne and he feels a little bit drunk. Dooley who used to be a border line alchoholic was very shocked at how much of a "lightweight" he was. Dooley puts his drink down for a only a moment when someone drugs his drink. The drug was eventually found to be ruffies (the date rape drug) and Dooley woke up in a hospital bed with his uncle staring at him. It turns out that someone that while Dooley was under the influence of ruffies he started a fight with a kid named Edward Gillette, and the kid turned up dead, there had also been a robbery at an electionics store.
If you were in a similar situation would you try to figure out what really happen or would you leave it and hopefully get lucky in court?

Dooley takes the fall is about a boy named Ryan Dooley who has a rough past. Dooley as he likes to go by is a 17 year old boy who has had a couple of strikes against him already. Dooley who just recently moved in with his uncle, a retired cop, has made Dooley live a "straight edge" life since he moved in with him. Dooley used to be a really heavy drinker and used to smoke alot, he now hasn't had a drink in months. The book begins with Dooley walking home from work and seeing a kid jumping off a bridge. The kid who jumped off the bridge was a boy named Mark Everley, a boy who went to Dooley's school. Turns out that Mark has a sister named Beth, who begins to question Dooley about her brother. Dooley begins to really like this girl, and she thinks that he had something to do with the death of her brother. Throughout the questioning Dooley meets someone named Winston Rhodes who is a rich boy that also goes to his school. Rhodes is throwing a party ro raise money for the Everley family, and he invites Dooley to go, what do you think will happen?
