Dooley is faced with a problem pretty much right at the beginning of the novel when he is questioned for the murder of Mark Everley. Because of Dooley's past he was immidiatly a suspect of the death of Mark. Dooley solves the problem by proving the he was innocent.
Later on in the novel Dooley is put into another situation where he is invited to a party. Dooley has been clean of all alcohol and drugs ever since moving back in with his uncle. Dooley goes to this party because of girl and it turns out to be a bad decision because Dooley gets framed again for murder because Dooley got into a fight there with a boy named Edward Gillette and the next day he turned out dead. Dooley resolved the problem by investigation on his own terms and he later finds the person who really did it. The person who did it also pushed Mark off the bridge!
The person who did it appeared to be Dooley's friends. Do you think Dooley should rat him out or take the blame and be a good friend? What would you do in this scenario
Dooley is defenatly placed in a bad situation, but its not worth spending the rest of your life in jail for something you didn't do. If i was in Dooley's postion i would defenatly tell the cops, as much as you don't wan't to be known as a rat it's not worth spending your life in jail.
ReplyDeleteIf i found out that one of my friends and i was being blamed for the crime i would proabably go to the cops to tell the truth because i wouldn't want to suffer in life for something i never did and take the loss of losing a friend over my life .
